I identify with you in like EVERY way.
I do...Okay. I identify with you in like EVERY way.

I don't have a kid going off to college, but I have kids in preschool and one that will go to kindergarten soon. I saw moms bawling their eyes out on the first day of preschool (2 days a week for 3 hours. ~eye roll~) and when I casually mentioned to a church friend of mine that our girls owuld be in the same grade, and we should register them together so they could e in the same class, she teared up and all but stomped down the corridor. I was totally confused. School doesn't start for another 3/4 of the year! I'm usually okay with stuff, and sometimes people think I'm detatched from my kids. IT's not true. I'm just as close to them as any mom. But my grief for their gone little childhoods is usually done in the wee hours of the morning, when things seem a lot bigger than they are, and no one is around to hear me (except DH who is usually out like a light and won't wake up for anything.)

And all the things you love about him: I have to say, my husband ALWAYS wears a hat- sometimes a fedora, usually a flat cap- and while I love him anyway, that hat is one of the reasons I love him. It's like it's part of him. If DH went away today for whatever reason, that would be high on my list. I'd miss his hat.

(DH also eats flies and ants and grosses kids out...on purpose.)

I'm also following now from MBC. Come and see me sometime!Windthicket Fableshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09820803765909133728noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7160459437885022087.post-13875913300406188032010-01-28T04:24:08.242-08:002010-01-28T04:24:08.242-08:00I absolutely love this post. Trying to figure out a way to freeze him! Love your blog and will be following.Dalia (Generation X Mom)https://www.blogger.com/profile/11561282285420737009noreply@blogger.com
